Objectives
- Assess and diagnose various wound etiologies and statuses using evidence-based tools and techniques.
- Interpret relevant lab results and assess nutritional, psychosocial, and functional factors impacting wound healing.
- Select and apply appropriate wound treatments, dressings, and adjunctive therapies based on wound characteristics and patient needs.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness, reassess patient tolerance, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and interprofessional teams on wound management and prevention strategies.
- Identify evidence-based protocols, legal considerations, and administrative processes to wound care practice.
- Identify at-risk populations and implement preventative measures to maintain skin integrity.

Registered Nurses & Licensed Vocational Nurses: AppleTree CEU is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Course Completion Requirements
